Unfortunatly, due to another no show by The Three Lions, The Shambles had no league game this week but were awarded the usual 3 : 0 victory for such a case, even though we would relish playing a game in which we were confident that 3 0 would have probably been the score at half time, what with both in form strikers Carl and Dave scoring an abundance of late.

In their absence a friendly game was arranged with Sunday night asscoiates , Coogan's Crusaders. Well a friendly HAD been arranged with captain Steve, who in his infinite wisdom had "forgotten " to tell the rest of his team and taken himself off to a party.  As luck would have it the Crusaders had not dissappeared from their earlier league draw and were having a tactical post game *meeting* in the bar upstairs.

After a little persuasion they agreed to play putting their drinks on hold. The Shambles were fielding a reserve team as many of the first team regulars were taken a well earned rest, Captain Shirehorse out grazing in Greece, asst Captain Graham saving himself for next weeks end of season clash, Carl otherwise engaged and Chris giving some flimsy excuse that his wife was about to drop a sprog!

None the less the game was a relaxed affair with The Shambles kindly letting The Crusaders score lots of goals for interrupting them mid round! And as Coogans have a friendly next week The Shambles were already guaranteed finishing much higher in the table  so gave them a chance to shine.The rest of the game was rather blurred with just Daves nipped in goal standing out. The score probably ended up at 7 each or something like that.
