Some late arrivals, a slow start, poor control, lack of commitment and poor discipline blighted the first half and gifted the game to the opposition. Going 3 goals behind was always going to be a mountain to climb regardless of the who the opposition was.
Whilst the second half showed a greater level of commitment, inappropriate substitutions and woeful captaincy meant discipline and shape was never established. On a night where not much went right for The Shambles Daves performance must be mentioned. It has to be said that Dave was the quickest player on the pitch for the Shambles during opening exchanges and his commitment to the cause never wained. A well deserved hatrick capped one of Daves better performances on a night where his team mates were rather inadequate.
Although the final score was a liitle more respectable at 5:3. The Shambles must get their house in order for future games.
