Sorry Shambles for the late delivery of this report and the fact that I've lost the notes for this encounter.
From recollection the OCs totally dominated the first 5 mins of the first halk, not allowing the Shambles to get going. In this time the OCs took a well deserved lead of 2-0.
Finally the Shambles got going and gradually came back to an equally well deserved 2-2.
At the start of the second half, the OCs tried to get back on top, but without much success as the Shambles maintained the quality possession.
Then came a pivotal moment. A Shambles defender was covering an OC attacker in the corner by the Shambles goal. Blues spotted an OC second wave approaching down the wing to join in.
Blues went across to cover....well done I thought. But then he turned his back thinking he had cut off any chance of the seconadary raider...what are you doing i thought???
Not having eyes in the back of his head.....he jhas enough problem seeing anything on the pitch other than goal.......he missed the seconadary attacker go infield. Too late.....the intial attacker passed a nicely waited ball into the new man's run which he duly slotted home....3-2.
The Shambles continued to dominate possession but the OC's took any chance they could and went 4-2 up.
Despite their continuing dominance, the shambles failed to convert. A wasted recovery as they fail to take advantage of their greater possession.
