This weeks game appeared to be sponsored by Cadbury's with so much mention of Wispa Golds!!

The Shambles were going into this game with confidence having learnt that nearest rivals Knowles had just drawn their game leaving Shambles now 2 points clear with this one to play.

Horse were having none of it and chomping at the bit, galloped into an early lead with a goal after just 26 seconds!  Shambles were quick to regroup and it was down to Bandit to ensure that the fightback wouldn't be a Marathon ( well Snickers as they are now known !) and  pull the score back to 1 1 within a minute of the restart by drilling a rocket shot under the Horse keeper Tim. He was Bounty score sooner or later!!

Horse then decided to spoil things by scoring again leaving Shambles trailing 2 1 at half time.

The second half got under (Milky) Way  and it proved to be end to end stuff as both teams came close to scoring but foiled by their respective keepers who both played blinders beTwix the posts!

Shambles had the edge again after Blink equalised with a great Curly ( Wurly) shot between defenders.

All Shambles' players dug deep and when Blink scored another to put it 3 2 to the Shambles it seemed that was it , job done. However it lead to what was probably the tensest last few minutes of a game Shambles had experienced in quite a while. Horse continued to apply pressure searching for that elusive equaliser which in hindsight had them more chance of finding Life on Mars!

Thankfully the final whistle blew at the hands of Willy Wonka's chief oompa-Loompa with Shambles finishing on top. A very good game and a worthy result with all Shambles players playing well.
