With the first defeat of the season still fresh on their minds The Shambles faced another of those comfortable first time victories which would surely not be so easy this second time around.

The Shambles posse turned up eventually to partake in the recently introduced warm up routine ( sorry boys , I forgot it would be dark....and we'd be outside....). Flash's warm-up consisted of him just eating a Wispa bar ( mmmmmm ...chocolate!) which he assured everybody that he REALLY needed as "this athlete's physique doesn't happen on its own!".

Man of the hour Tim, was rewarded with his official team shirt, making him truly now a fully fledged member of the squad. With his "BANDIT" monicur proudly displayed , Munchkin ref ,Dave first congratulated him on actually having a matching kit now and secondly enquiring as to weither the prefix "ASS" had fallen off ! (Savaloy or Kebab??)

Back to business and the match, when it finally got underway, started with a sense of no urgency by both teams with both playing almost timidly.This continued for a short while until HRH decided to go on "one of his runs" up the left hand side ,bludgeoned his way forward , and not so much dinked but slam-dunked the ball into the oppositions net!  1 - 0 Shambles.

BBQ  soon responded by equalising with a rocket shot from distance that Clint had no chance with. 1  - 1

Ian then decided that just playing for the Shambles was not enough and laid off a brilliant back pass to the feet of a skulking BBQ forward , waiting patiently at the edge of the Shambles' box to slot the ball calmly home ! 2 - 1 BBQ!

Time for Flash to enter the fray and see if he could aid and abet , and almost instantly the impact was felt. Having won a free kick on the edge of the BBQ box, Flash placed the ball down and catching site of Blink running  up placed a perfectly weighted pass to see Blink confidently slot the ball home.  2  -  2 ( it MUST  have been the pre-match WISPA  that did it - chocolate vision!!)

BBQ responded by taking the lead just before Munchkin blew for half time.

BBQ 3 - SHAMBLES 2

The second half got underway and Ian, perhaps trying to make up for his first half "assist" was playing like a man possessed and soon produced a great diagonal cross pitch pass to Blink who collected his second goal of the game .  3  -  3!!  Ian tried to do it alone this time firing a rocket shot from the left which rebounded straight to the waiting Bandit, who made a difficult tap in look easy!   4  - 3!!

BBQ  rallied and soon brought the score level again 4 - 4! It would appear a draw was on the cards until Munchkin Dave pointed to the spot awarding Shambles a late penalty for some sort of "defender in the area" infringemet. Up stepped Blink to surely put Shambles in the driving seat, but the BBQ keeper went and spoiled it all by actually diving the wrong way and saving it!

BBQ then sniffed a victory of their own and would surely have got it if not for the outstanding double save from keeper Clint to keep them at bay.

Shambles ending up with another draw and to be fair a point was a good result considering Ian  thought he was playing for both sides!
