With the previous game ending 9 - 3 in favour of Flounderers, Shambles were aiming for less than a -6 goal difference in thios game to show any improvement.

The game got off to a flying start with Golden Boot chasing Blues raining shots at the Flounderers' keeper, 4 clear shots on target in the first 45 seconds alone! Was this going to be the week where he consolidated his leading position of season's top goal scorer? With only 3 games left and closest rival Blink on squad rotation it was an ideal opportunity to pull away. Evidently it looked like it was not going to be Blues' night as more shots rained down but none in the net. The match was an evenly contested event with both sides settling down and some nice passing from both. As if Flounderers weren't pressing keeper Clint enough , HRH decided they needed a helping hand , or Foot at least , as he clinicaly slotted a beautifully finished back pass into his own net! 1 - 0 Flounderers.
The game continued evenly till half time with no addition to the score.
The second half started with Shambles again pushing forward with Bully rattling the bar (this time on the pitch and not socially upstairs afterwards), before Flounderers responded by scoring a legitimate goal of their own to make it 2 - 0. It was their turn to rattle the woodwork themselves before adding a third goal to make it 3 - 0 .
Blues continued his assualt on the oppositions goal but it took a rebound off the post for Flash to finally pounce and start to haul the goal talley back! Flash then doubled his strike rate with a perfectly placed shot to thebottom corner of the net to make the score 3 -2 . Was a comeback on the cards? Bully seemed to agree with a screaming equaliser to make it 3 -3! Were you watching how it's done Blues?
Sadly the final whistle blew and the match ended level pegging. A fine comeback with great performances from all players especially Chris' fine finish, shame it wasn't at the other end!!
