Shambles vs Porto Loyles

This week's encounter provided Shambles an opportunity to seek revenge on Porto for knocking them out of the Cup.

With Sheriff Dave keeping the peace is this sunset shootout this tie proved to be a bar room brawl.

In the setting of Perdis Wild Wild West Well the tumbleweed gently sauntered over the pitch before the duelling commenced.

After both sides turned and withdrew several paces the shootout commenced.

Shambles drew first blood with some good interplay between Blues the Bar-Brawler and Cactus Craig before Cactus delivered a shot passed the keeper of Clint Eastwood proportions. 1-0

A fierce shootout aimed at the Porto Bar-keeper ensued before he finally recoiled like a rattlesnake bite victim and allowed a tame Bar-brawler to gently go the way of the buffalo and find the net. 2-0 (After discussion with Desperate Dan (Scott Carson) the goal has been given to Bar-brawler)

For most of the first half the defensive qualities of the Shambles defence of Graham the Enforcer, Ian the Kid, Keith Eatwood, Dangerous Dave and the Keeper With No Name shone bright like the desert sun. Unfortunately the boys had a lapse in concentrating like outlaws supping whisky and allowed a goal to creep in before half time. 2-1

Half Time 2-1

After the break quick fire shooting from Bar-brawler and Cactus increased the lead to 4-1 and it seemed the war was won. The Indian chiefs from Porto Loyle however did fight back and claimed a couple of gold smugglers goals to make the tie seem closer than it should have been at 4-3.

Final Score 4-3

After their victory many of the Shambles withdrew to the bar to drink Colt 45's they earned from this encounter. Ye haaaaaaa!
