From the Porto kick off James stole the ball dribbled around a couple of players and slotted the quickest goal of the season away, within 3 seconds! Although good he should of obviously passed the ball to Ade who would have been in a better position to score.
Within the next minute that dashing young fellow Ade chased after the retreating opposition “like an eager wolf rounding up sheep” then pounced at the crucial time and struck early to make it 2-0 Shambles.
Ade must have been subbed off and the shambles had a moment of disarray and the Porto midfielder struck a shot from distance to just get past Dave R. on the inside post 2-1 – difficult to defend (pay me later).
Chris (HRH) made a gallop with his horse and carriage up the wing and found himself in unchartered territory (in front of goal), he let one of his Corgies have a shot that clattered the post and rebounded kindly to James, who obviously should of past to Ade on the bench, but ‘golden boot hungry’ James finished it off 3-1.
After a controlled spell of pressure from the shambles with the defense looking to get on the score sheet, Dave R. (keeper) through the ball out quickly to Ade who immediately laid it off to Flash who seemed to be loosing his balance (it could not of been running!), but it was in the direction of the ball, so he hoofed a shot screamimg past the sprawling Porto keeper 4-1.
HALF TIME
After the break the shambles lapsed back into their normal Calamity Jane behavior and allowed the Porto a glimse of hope. Apparently rummours state that HRH Chris was totally to blame, cries for a public hanging!
Again sorting out the mess, Ade chased down another loose ball to slot away only to get protest from the opposition that he was clearly three yards into their goal area. Obviously they couldn’t keep track of his blistering pace as he shot the ball near the half away line and followed the ball in to the area after the ball was in the net. Looked clear to the ref (that’s all that counts – keep the bribes up)? Video footage required! 5-2
Five minutes to go Porto were looking sluggish so Ade and Dave took them to the sword with a deflected shot by Ade sweetly eventually followed up by the jogging Flash. Apparently the reason why the shot was on target as it was Flash’s left foot! 6-2.
Any chance within the last five minutes for the defence to get on the score sheet was minute as all three Shambles attackers were on for a hat trick, so there were plently of greedy runs by Flash & James until Ade came on to try and set on of them up (Thinking of others all the time)! Rob and Ian struck up conversation with the keeper until the final whistle was blown.
The shambles managed to hold on to an impressive second win of the season 6-2!
