Bragging rights were up for grabs as the Shambles met Coogans once again. Graham's absence meant Captain Chris was in charge.

The game kicked off with Shambles in the ascendancy with a shot from Ade going close in the early minutes, Coogans striker Tim then hitting a post before another effort from Ade. Coogans then began to take hold of the game, bringing a great block by Keith followed by a fine save by Darren (though he did look a little out of his area!). Then disaster, an unfortunate slip on the halfway line gave Coogans strikers a 2 on 1 from which they capitalised. 1-0.

From the kick off Dave tried his luck from distance forcing the keeper into a save, minutes later Captain Chris put two feet squarely in the area. Penalty! 2-0

The second half started as the first, early pressure by Shambles with Rob and Ian forcing saves from Coogans keeper before a long range effort into the corner gave Darren no chance 3-0. Rob made more of a dent in a Coogans defender than on the scoreline with a late challange as the Shambles redoubled their efforts to find a goal, A breakthrough! Chris shrugs off Steve and hammers in a shot deflecting in off Coogans goalkeeper 3-1

Darren continued his fine form making 3 good saves in quick succession, before Chris was turned inside out by a pair of quick feet and Darren was beaten again by a well placed shot. 4-1

With a couple of minutes to go the team pushed on trying to salvage some pride, Dave hit a shot from distance while Ian hit the side netting, but unfortunalty Shambles were caught on the counter attack following a good passing move 5-1 before being punished again by another counter on the final whistle Coogans striker applying a calm slotted finish. 

A 6-1 score line not reflecting the teams hard work....
