In a game which The Shambles were confidant of extending their club record breaking run to 4 , things did not get off to the right start with only 4 regular squad members and one late recruit being available.

The game , however ,couldnt have started better for The Shambles  as new recrute Chris put us into an early lead. Confidence was high as Dave finally managed to score for the first time in 12 games with a rocket of a shot, putting The Shambles ahead 2 - 0 at half time.

The second half carried on where the first left off as Captain Carthorse put us 3 - 0 ahead! However with so much effort being put in , AND with no subs with which to recharge 4 pairs of very tired legs, The Three lions mounted an effective comeback, utalising their subs to good affect  and pulling the score back to 3 - 3. With no gas left in the tank , The Shambles conceided the winning goal with about a minute to go.

The Shambles were left devastated as victory was there for the taking, but with so many squad members unavailable and with at least one sub being essential it was a case of what if? all over again
